Learn how to fix buffering, connection drops, and portal sync errors on your streaming devices.
If you experience buffering loops or stream pauses while using hoxytv, it is usually caused by local hardware, app configurations, or local network congestion rather than our servers. First, perform a complete power cycle of your network. Turn off your router and modem, wait for 30 seconds, and turn them back on. This resets cached DNS routing paths and improves connection speeds.
Second, we highly recommend using a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi. You can buy a cheap USB OTG (On-The-Go) Ethernet adapter to link your Firestick directly to your router. A wired connection avoids the packet loss and interference common to wireless networks.
Many app crashes are caused by hardware resource limitations. In player apps like IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate, navigate to the settings menu and check the hardware decoding configuration. Changing the decoder from 'Software' to 'Hardware (HW)' enables your device’s graphics processor to decode streams directly, reducing CPU load and preventing application lag.
Additionally, look for the 'Stream Format' settings in your app and change the output format from TS (Transport Stream) to M3U8 (HLS). HLS streaming uses smaller packet sizes, which can reduce buffering on slower Wi-Fi networks.
If you notice that your streams buffer only during major live sports broadcasts, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be throttling your connection speed. ISPs track heavy streaming data packets and throttle your bandwidth to reduce overall network congestion.
To bypass ISP throttling, we recommend using a high-quality Virtual Private Network (VPN) like ExpressVPN or NordVPN. A VPN encrypts your traffic and routes it through private tunnel servers, preventing your ISP from monitoring your streaming activity.
Stream buffering is usually caused by local Wi-Fi interference, slow network speeds, or ISP throttling. Try connecting your streaming device via Ethernet and restart your router.
Go to Firestick Settings -> Applications -> Manage Installed Applications. Select your IPTV player app (e.g. IPTV Smarters), click 'Clear Cache', and restart the app.
